Ever since i got into the whole subject of synchronicity, along with lots of other mind boggling topics, I actually began to notice all sorts of things that i'd previously considered coincidence. Coincidence to me, now, means there is just something I missed down the line, which is a paraphrase of a Terence Mckenna quote.
and of course there are many many cases of synchronicity that can be discussed, but to bring it down to a more simple, and maybe fun level, i'd like to bring up some types of experiences i've had lately. As a member of the modern day society, i find myself text messaging buddies. Perhaps too often. and its getting to the point, where i will send out a text, and then forget about the conversation. I'll carry on with what i'm doing prior to the text, and then out of the blue, a thought about the person i was texting, relating to the text, will pop into my head, and sure enough, momentarily after, my phone is vibrating carrying a message from the person. At first, i even considered this a coincidence. But it happens all too often now for me to even think about disregarding it as I did in the past. It also happens occasionally with a phone call, which isn't even signaled by a previous interaction, in other words it is even more phenomenal because i hadn't sent out a text message to be responded it, its just a spontaneous call that trails a thought of mine about that specific person.
I may have over ranted a bit, but has this been the case with any of the fellow tribe members?
Thanks,
Jake.

Re: Cell phones and Synchronicity?
Tue, December 30, 2008 - 3:05 PMWhen I was in Providence, I met someone at a bar under very unusual circumstances, then called the number the next day. Before the phone rang, a voice came on and said, very quietly, "Wrong number."
There appeared to be a lot of that going around at the time. -
