hello. i'm brandon. i thought i'd start a new thread for this subject. the other one was pretty full. i was recently listening to a record from a label called "itiswhatitis," and then clicked on a link to an article unknowingly titled "It Is What It Is."

    WOO hoo!!

It's been a long time since I have seen the sevens. Also, my tech support number from this morning was #96663884

No wonder she didn't seem to want to help me... ;)

in the car earlier today I got 11:11 and 1:11 (new beginnings, right path)

Thinking about Mpls, talking about it and just as I said "minneapolis" I looked down and turning randomly to a piece of mail (not mine) on the desk and the address was in Minneapolis (we live in Portland)

I will be visiting in a couple of weeks and had just talked to my mom about staying with her for a while and working there to make some money... while keeping my place in PDX.

    Synchronicity for sure :)

Those are the important syncs to me, the ones that are like road signs.

If it's what I need to be doing I'll know for sure pretty soon.

The synchs that actually convey useful information ARE the best, aren't they? Not that I don't love the mysterious ones, too, of course.

My friend lives in a "Trailer Park" in Huntington Beach that actually has very few trailers and mostly manufactured or pre-fab homes--hers is nice, but old and systems are failing.

Since the Euro to Dollar rate is so good for her parents, who live in England, they really want to buy her a new home, but of the many manufacturers we've contacted only one rep has gotten back to her and seems eager to sell her something. He took us on a crazy lost-highway trip a couple weeks ago to try and show us some models, but when we finally found the Fleetwood factory no one would let us see anything. We eventually found another place about 60 miles further away that had three empty models.

I was extremely underwhelmed with the Fleetwood homes--very poor quality work! She was ready to ditch the entire idea of getting this type of home, anyhow, and figured the messed up trip was a sign.

She had the agent come to her home yesterday to do an appraisal to put it on the market so she can buy a *real* house, but that was the moment one of the people I'd contacted (two weeks ago) chose to phone her. She thought it was a sign that she shouldn't talk to the woman, but it seemed to me more like confirmation that she should not be doing business with the man who had just arrived at her place, as he seemed rather deceptive to me.

I guess we all have to learn how to read our own signs, but this friend is famous for misinterpreting them, so I'm not quite sure if I should attempt an intervention.

Every day! I see to look at the clock at the following intervals:

      1:11: 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 6:06, 7:07, 8:08, 9:09, 10:10, 11:11, 12:12 - is this coincidence, or do you think my body clock is set to this synchronicity... :)?

"me too! sometimes a bit overwhelming, but what can ya do"

Well, this is my preferred method of dealing with overwhelming synchronicity:

"He spent several hours that night standing on the roof of his house, shaking his fist at the dark sky and shouting, "Stop it!" until a neighbour complained to the police that he couldn't sleep."

(Douglas Adams, from "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul")

This is just nuts, but I've got to report it: I've just had YET ANOTHER ZZ Top encounter, though most of them don't involve the actual band, who I first learned of back in the early Seventies when a friend was in Attica Prison and ZZ Top played there for free.

What does that have to do with anything? Who knows? Certainly not me, but the references are upon me and have been for about a week now.

I ordered an antique hand-held silver and jade water pipe from China. When I got the package today, there was a small gift from them, it's a piece of amber colored acrylic with a tiny scorpion inside. It's really cool! But I was wondering how they could have known I'm a Scorpio.

I chock it up to another sync, or it could just be a coincidence...

So, this one time in my early twenties, some friends and I were looking for some papers in a drawer and we found this red chunk of whatever in a little drug baggie. The first thing I said was that it must be opium (of course, otherwise I wouldn't be telling this story) but no one believed me. I persuaded them not to throw it away by telling them we should smoke some of it when we got home, as we were on our way out. If it was opium, that would be grand, if it was a cherry candy half chewed, it wouldn't hurt us. It didn't smell like anything, but opium doesn't either unless you burn it. So we go and return and of course, it's the first thing I want to do. They are all wishy washy and weird. Anyway, I got out the ol' pipe and did my thing. HOLY SHIT!!! It *was* opium. What a lovely thing. Now, I am not an expert but this was a lot of opium and we smoked a lot of it for days with a whole shitload of people. We could never figure out where it came from and we didn't really care.

Is that like a drug synchronicity??

So all these syncs were getting more and more frequent and then all of a sudden I need emergency surgery...

I was tuned in and listened to my instinct and it turns out I was right and needed to get a procedure done on Sat.

I went to the ER on fri and they were all about it, got in as soon as I could and all is well.

    I'm not a hyperchondriac after all :)

Yay for good drugs :) Perkiset is niiiiiice :P

Bridget, I am a firm believer that this is the way synchronicity is used by some people, myself included. Periods of high frquency tend to point to something or be gathered around an event that is *BIG*. It helps me to know that it is time to become more aware of what's going on and eek out the significance.

      I'm glad you are OKAY!

        Glad you're okay too Bridget.

On the note of what high occurence periods of synchronicity mean, a large cause in my experience has been the crew you're hanging out with.

My first experience of a "synchronicity zone" was getting a scholorship in High School to the New York State Summer School for the Arts. All of a sudden all these kids who were loner artistic sensative types in their home town were piled together into a geek village for a month. The instances of telepathy and synchronicity were so high a couple of folks whose belief system couldn't stretch to fit snapped and needed psychological and medical aid.

I see spontanious temporary synchronicity zones all the time at pagan gatherings these days.

Wonder if it works on line and our being a synchronicity tribe could up the ante?

I've been lurking a while here so I will share my most recnet synch which happened on saturday. at 11:11 I pulled my cell phone out and called a friend, when he answered (i was walking my dog at the time) i walked past a house whose address was 222,
which may or may not have been know to me. ok I pulled my phone out out my pocket again at 1:11 to tell someone how long I talked to him and It was 2 mins and 22 seconds

quite odd 111 and 222 all around. I get synchs all the time, but on that day each time it happened it was like a wait a minute type moment. odd to say the least.

I too have been lurking here a while...

I have an old boyfriend from high school with whom I always shared synchronicities and who would get a huge kick out of this tribe if I could ever get him here. :-)

My most recent is a bit silly but involves him, so it seems less silly to me. He was visiting near where I live last month for someone's wedding and we decided to meet for coffee. He had found me on classmates a couple years ago after being out of touch since I graduated in '86.

My hubby spent the time I was visiting with my old friend making a big trip to Costco. We live about 25 miles outside of Portland, OR, so going to Costco entails a trip to "the city", usually a Portland suburb.

So my hubby calls me while I'm visiting to ask a question about something I put on the list, flavor of yogurt or the like....and I explain to my friend that my hubby's at Costco and apologize for the interruption. My friend asks me where the Costco is at which my husband is shopping. So I tell him it's in Tigard, southwest of Portland, though it's not the closest one to my home. He asks if there isn't one a bit closer to us, prompting me to explain the debacle that we faced at the closest Costco with the head pharmacist at the pharmacy of the closest Costco which is why we don't shop there any more.

He then tells me that the groom of the wedding that is the reason for him being in Oregon is the head pharmacist at a local Costco (fortunately not the one where we had the problem, lol).

He also told me about an apartment he had after leaving home, which turned out to be in the same building I'd lived in a couple years earlier.

strange...apparently there was some other strange stuff going on on 2/8...

        www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page821.html

(February 8th, at *2:28* p.m. PST), the moon and sun were together in the sign Aquarius. This alignment is unusual because the moon and sun are joined by six additional heavenly bodies including 4 planets...

i'm astrologically disadvantaged...so i have very little idea what this might mean...

It was my brother's birthday as well.

As far as the astrology goes, that's pretty neat!

after a shower tonight I had a wee nap and awoke at 10:30pm...seeming as I wrote off yet another friday night to my traditional siesta, I decided to wander down the hill with a tea and sit by the ocean..the walk takes about 20 or so minutes and it was extremely quiet out.
I got down to the beach, smoked a nice lil' pipeload of happysmoke and watched the goings on down at the waterfront. I started thinking for some reason about an old logo I did for a friend..and in essence started thinking about him..I finished up said my goodbyes to the water and doubled back homeward bound. I'm crossing a completely dead street, and who would show up?..driving a jacked out bronco?..nope not OJ...
but jordon the guy who I did the logo for some time ago..
I hadn't seen him in well over a year.

(It's kinda wierd when you first tell someone that you were just thinking about them, for some reason most think it has something to do with sex..)
((why is it you have to ensure them it wasn't regarding sex...))
                  hmm..oh well.
